@GoForNo tweeted this. Great job pounding it home about building relationships. That's what this entire thing is all about. Ever hear that saying "It's not about what you know but WHO you know"? So true.

As well, whenever anyone buys your products/services or works with you (consulting, etc), there has to be trust. The only way to build trust is to first build a relationship. Thanks for this, Retweeted it from @mikestenger :-)

Thanks Sue! Well, I'm assuming you're talking about business specifically. I've done plenty of cold calls in my life, and I don't think that's the answer. I look at marketing much like fishing and not hunting. A "Hunting" mentality is to go out and find the "kill" or in our case the sale. That has a very obtrusive and pushy feel to it. Instead if people use a "fishing" mentality, they put the bait in the water and attract the fish, attraction marketing... Obviously you have a lot better chance of catching fish if you use the right bait and use a fish finder (research) to locate them. Once people find you using your marketing strategies such as blog, pay per click, video, and other social media, your chances of them answering when you call significantly increase. Also, since I know you do a lot of networking, it's completely ok to follow up with a phone call of those who you meet in person. Does that make sense?

Hi Brad, Thanks for the experiment. It makes sense. Online is impersonal, even if it is fun and fast.
All the online methods are so easy and trying to actually reach a person by phone usually is a matter of leaving a message and hoping they will call you back. So online would appear the best way to go. I will definitely try more phone calls - have you found a good way to reach the person?
