Obama’s Got Our Money

This email that I received was absolutely too funny not to share.  No matter your political affiliation, this Barack Obama clip is hilarious.  I have no idea who to give credit to for creating this, but the email read…

WE GOT YOUR MONEY

GONNA SPEND YOUR MONEY

GONNA PRINT SOME MORE MONEY

Positivitis

What is that crazy word?  Some time back, I had inspiration to create a website that had an overwhelmingly positive feeling.  You see, here’s the problem…Every single day, we are inundated with negative news.  I actually made the decision some time ago that I was not going to watch the news, EVER!  In life, the saying is true, “What you think about, You bring about.”  I have several friends in the industry, and negative news has always been my biggest problem with watching.  When I mentioned this to my one friend, he replied, “negative news is what people want.”  That statement has always shocked me.  How can people like to hear all negative news?

Well, the more and more that I’ve asked around, people say that they are looking for positive news.  There are certainly plenty of highlights in our world today that aren’t exactly positive, but I truly believe that there is a tremendous amount of positive happening as well.

Positivitis.com is the world’s chance to share good things that are happening.  It’s not meant for newspaper stories, it’s meant for every day type of people to be able to write in when they witnessed something positive occur.  It happens to all of us every single day, but we need to spend more time focusing on the positive.  I know that everyone’s lives will be much more fulfulling when you start focusing on the positive.  Let’s start infecting the world with positivity!

Toast to the Groom

This is the speech I used to toast to the groom for my brother.  I was honored to be his best man, so obviously I had to come up with something good.  Who would have thought…I came up with a poem…

Best Man Speech

This is about Richard Arthur Dohack, III. Well, shortly after Rick & Katie’s engagement, Rick asked me to be the Best Man for the wedding. This was a great honor, but it also comes with a lot of responsibility. It’s been great for me to sit back and reflect on all of the years we have had together. And lucky for me, Rick has not given me any shortage of material over the years for this speech.

Poem:

To Toast this night off correctly I thought I would come up with series of 3 poems

The first is to Rick:

By default Rick is my big brother,

The reason this happens is b/c we have the same mother.

Over the years, at times I have wanted to be like him,

Not all the time though, I’ll go out on a limb.

When he was younger he had a permed mullet,

Of course I wanted to be like him, so I bit the bullet.

He’s had nicknames like Ricky, Dicky, Slick Rick and more,

We’re just excited for him to have a kid named Dick 4.

But we all know Rick has a heart of gold,

He will always be the one that broke the mold.

Even though life has dealt him some lemons.

He’s planning a comeback like Roger Clemens.

The path to success is not always clear,

But Rick, I know you’ll get there, so have no fear.

Being your Best Man means the world to me,

Now let’s talk to the girl who got you to drop on One knee.

To Katie:

Now would be a good time to tell you about Rick,

About his skeletons he’s holding back, he’s going to be ticked.

No, I’m just joking, he has nothing to hide,

He’s a great guy, he’s just never heard of Tide.

So his clothes are usually dirty, and house can be a mess,

But now he has you to help him learn how to dress.

On his first date, he wanted to take you to out for food,

We wouldn’t let him b/c his eating habits can be a little rude.

He finishes his plate in 43 seconds flat,

The world record is 42, tonight he might beat that.

I’m being a little tough on him, but that’s what brothers do,

If our love wasn’t tough, it wouldn’t mean poo.

Now that you know his tendencies we can talk about you both,

Because today is the day that you took your oathe.

To Both of you.

-Before there was love, there was only a click,

And on Katie’s computer screen popped up a guy named Rick.

-Some typing, some emails, all innocent flirting,

But deep down both of them were really hurting.

Not hurting for love, but rather each other,

And then I knew she was the right one for my brother.

When they are together there’s a frequent smile,

And before Katie, for Rick it had been awhile.

There was a first date, then engagement, now wedding,

I hope you enjoy my gift of the bedding.

It’s time now to give up a toast,

Let’s put our glasses together and wish them the most,

The most love, the most happiness, and all of their life.

Together they will be man & wife.

Congratulations!

Confessions of a Brick Breaker Online Addiction (Poem)

This poem was inspired by my never ending addiction to Brick Breaker Online and Brick Breaker on my Blackberry.  It took hours and hours of playing to get me to a point where it was time to acknowledge my addiction.  Here it is:

Oh, Brick Breaker it’s time to take a look at our past,

From the beginning did you think our relationship would last?

You sucked every ounce of productivity from me even when times were good,

Even though I loved you like I never even thought I could.

We’ve shared memories together in bed, on the couch, and even in the tub,

Remember that time on the plane, when we joined the mile-high club?

We’ve set all kinds of records together since our relationship started,

And you never seemed to really care when I farted.

Our time together has been something very special indeed,

I’m really sad to say this, but I must be freed.

Freed of your grasp on my time to make money,

Because your killing me, so daddy can’t bring home the honey.

I’m deleting you from my life right now forever,

Can we rendezvous again?  Never say never.

If you are not over your addiction quite yet, here is one of the better bricker breaker online sites.  Good Luck!

How to Create a Facebook Domain For FREE

This past weekend I met some amazing Internet Marketers at the Masters Seminar in Tampa.  One of the speakers that I found incredibly impressive was Perry Belcher.  For those of you who do not know Perry Belcher, he is a social media king!  He has completely maxed out his Facebook friends list and has about 72,000 followers on Twitter.  Obviously this is someone to model in his ability to influence and inspire people.

Upon looking at his Twitter profile @perrybelcher.com I noticed that he had a link to his facebook which was simply perrybelcher.com/facebook.  I’ve always known how to forward a domain name such as braddohacksfacebook.com (doesn’t exist btw), but I didn’t realize that you could automatically forward a folder in your hosting…

So, I obviously had to know how to do it, I did all of the research and I’ll show you exactly how to do it here in this video.

The resourced I mention in the video are HostGator, NVU and FileZilla.   As I mentioned, NVU and FileZilla are completely FREE!  Hostgator is under $10 per month for unlimited domains.  Here is the code to help you out!

<script>top.location.href="http://www.facebook.com/people/Brad_Dohack/36102521"</script>

That’s it!  That’s the entire string of code that will help you get a facebook account like mine braddohack.com/facebook or you can also do it for your Twitter.  Follow me for more tips braddohack.com/twitter.

Masters Seminar in Tampa

Tonight I leave for the Masters Seminar in Tampa.  I haven’t been to this specific seminar before, but I’ve heard it’s a pretty good internet marketing seminar.  There are certainly a couple of questions that I am looking to have answered.  I haven’t quite unlocked the key to getting a substantial amount of views on YouTube videos.  It always seems that somewhat ridiculous videos have hundreds of thousands of views, and I know that it’s not a coincidence.  One of my favorite is the Blend Tec guy.  He gets so many views, but he’s really a marketing genius for what he did.  I’ll keep you updated on the learnings from the weekend.

Jack Canfield Coaching

For those who know me well, you know that Jack Canfield is a person for whom I have great respect.  His book, “The Success Principles” is my favorite book of all time.  This morning I had an experience where the Jack Canfield Coaching really came in handy.

Jack says that there are many different ways to go through life.  One of his suggestions is that you look at people and always believe that they do what they know best at the time.  If you go through life always knowing that people do what they know is best at the time, then when someone ‘wrongs’ you, it’s not because they did so maliciously, they just didn’t have all the knowledge they needed to make a better decision.  Think about that for a minute.  Reflect on an instance in the past week or so.  If you had someone hurt your feelings in any way, give them the complete benefit of the doubt.  Know inside yourself that they just didn’t know any better.

I truly feel that this outlook on the human race will make you a much happier person.  Challenge yourself to look at your situations that you encounter during 1 day and use this outlook.  I think it will be something that you are happy to adapt to your life full time!

Complete Success!

The “Coolest Guy in Fort Myers” challenge has already ended :) .  I officially made it to #1 in Google within 30 mins!  That’s the kind of results that I love to see for clients.  Thanks for asking.

Coolest Guy in Fort Myers

So I’ve been put up to a challenge…If someone Google’s “Coolest Guy in Fort Myers” will they find me? Ok, this sounds completely ridiculous and a little vain, but I think it’s worth a go. I think it would be better to be the “smartest guy in Fort Myers” but I’ll roll with “Coolest Guy in Fort Myers.” Today, April 10th is the first day of the contest, and I have exactly 1 week to accomplish number 1 on Google. No big money pay off or anything like that, but I guess if anyone in their right mind were to type in Coolest Guy in Fort Myers, they would find me, Brad Dohack. I’ll report in as necessary. Wish me luck in becoming the coolest guy in fort myers!

Signatures in Gmail

A lot of people have been asking me how I do customized signatures in Gmail, so I thought I would help. There is an add on specifically for Mozilla Firefox that is called Black Canvas. You can find it here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7757. Once you install the add-on, you will need to go and compose an email within Gmail. Once you get to the compose screen, you will see new buttons that appear that. Click on the one that says “Create New Signature.” That’s it. It does require a little bit of HTML knowledge to get the signature that you want, but you can simply start out with something like this.

Health, Wealth & Happiness,
Brad Dohack

This will result in the following looking signature:

Health, Wealth & Happiness,
Brad Dohack

There are obviously waaaaaaaay more sophisticated html tools out there, but this will get you started. This add on also gives you the ability to insert pictures into your signature block as well. The pictures do have to be hosted somewhere online though. Sorry, you can’t put a picture directly from your computer onto the signature block without hosting it first. Hope this helps!
